For those that have an edger (most). What do you think of the Echo PE-200? I found one new for 179.99. Is that resonable price for it? Sounds good to me. Let me know of some of the pro's and con's of this edger or of any other echo equipment.
    Thanks again guys!

I bought one earlier this year, it's pretty weak. Make the investment and get a 260.
the 200 It clogs really easy, cant dig through much at all, and doesnt hold alot of gas. I'm replacing my 200 with a 260in the spring

I've got one i picked up used for about $50. It suits my needs, but I don't do much edging.

In bought one and took it back 2 weeks later. Took a 15% haircut to get a Stihl FC85 but made the right choice. The PE 200 is just weak with the small engine and cable drive system. Pass on it.

jwingfield is right on the money. but if you do little edging it might be o.k. but even if your growing, get the 260. not the 230, the 260. the 230 has the puny filter that's found on 21.2cc engine, and the price between the two is not much. there's more to say, but you'll see when you look at them.

I have the PE-260, love it. The PE-200 is too small for a contractor, not enough power. Dont mess w/the 230 either.

i would go out and grab the PAS 260. It has a number of interchangable attachments and is a very versitile machine.

i think that it would be a better investment than the edger imho

the pas's shaft wears out alot faster than a one-unit model. just think, the better edger you buy, will make you more productive, which means more money, need i say less?

I have the PE 230 and I agree it is alittle weak. I will move up in power next time. As far as the PAS goes, I have thought about it but I'm wondering what I would do if the power unit goes down and I can't power my attachments. Good luck.
