Thinken of getting the latest and greatest next generation Backpack Blower. Have never worn out an Echo blower but hear Echo's biggest and best is not as well built as they have been in the past.

Any suggestions on when to purchase one and what brand you would think is best.

Latest and greatest might want to try the Redmax EBZ8500. I've heard a lot about it but hear its hard to get right now.

I will also say anything but a Echo! The older echo stuff was real good but the new stuff is pure junk or has been my experience with it. The last echo equipment I purchased did not make it through one summer. My redmax weedeater is 3 years old and never seen the shop.

You should check out the husqvarna 580. But out of those I'd go with the redmax.

husqvarna 580 is the biggest and best blower out there. same as the redmax 8500, but the husky has a better shoulder strap

Recently picked up an RM ebz7150. So far it is great. Great power, starts easy. After struggling with dinosaurs, it's sublime.

Well bought the 770 Echo in June of 2011. In April of 2013 I sold it back to the dealer because after many times of trying to fix the blower it failed. Loss of power. Bought the Redmax EBZ8500 in April of 2013 an wow that blower is big. Already went thru a throttle cable but so far so good. :cool2:
