we have run echo trimmers and hand helds for years. i love them alot.

i recently saw the ad for the new u-turn head that you can wind without taking the spool out of the head, WOW. so i got one and this thing is so easy it might just work for the mentally impaired employees we seem to attract!!!

you just simply shove the line into the holes on both sides of the head and start back feeding and it rewinds the string into the head and then at the end simply cut the string.

it just cant get better than this.

they come with universal mounts for various brands too!!!!!

anyone else try one and who has been interested??

    We've used them since March.

    Very Happy.

I've got a Shindy Speed-Feed on my Echo and absolutely love it. I carry an extra length of line wire-tied to the trimmer shaft, so I can reload without going back to the truck. It takes longer to untie the wire than it does to rethread the trimmer head! Total time is less than a minute. I heard recently that Shindy and Echo are partnering, so I wonder if the Echo is borrowed technology from Shindaiwa.

They are two entirely different feed systems as far as I could tell. I really didn't see similar designs at all and prefer the Echo having used both.
