Anyone have any experience or heard anything (good or bad) about the Echo 60" ZTR mower Home Depot is selling? They claim that it is commercial grade, but I'm suspicious, as they are selling brand new for only $5,000. Exmark, Toro, and other legit brands sell the same size ZTR for twice as much new. Seems to good to be true...

The equipment that Home Depot sells is NOT commercial equipment. I made the mistake of buying that junk before and it sucks only thing i buy at home depot for landscaping is those big green barrels and an occasional rake or shovel if I'm in need of one.

Dont forget the trusty Echo SRM-210 and 220. Id say they are just as commercial as any other brand.
Stay away from the other handhelds and the ZTR's. Thoughs are crap.

For $5000 I'd buy a new commercial 34" ztr if that's all the $ I had to work with. Or try to find a used commercial 40-50 inch with low hours for about the same price. you'll probably be better off. those HD products dont have commercial warranties, and like was said before, just arent commercial products. They are made and built to be used around once a week, for 30 or 35 weeks out of the year for a homeowner. Not 30 or 35 times a day. You get what you pay for.

if echo been sticking to hand held equipment that long without a ztr, than they should just stick with what they been doing like american cars when they started making all them fdted up with front wheel drive and should of stayed to rear wheel drive and v8s. now days you have to pay for a v8 when back then that was almost the only option!
