Doing my daily check of Craigslist last night and I noticed that someone had posted a "Stihl chainsaw" for sale. Clicked on it and found that he had a Stihl MS460 chainsaw for sale and wanted $600 for the saw with 20" bar & new chain, and a 28" bar (no chain). Offered him $500 and he snapped it up. That's approx. half price for a saw that is less than a year old. Checked the air filter and it was just barely dirty and hardly a scratch on it. Starts right up and runs great! Figure I got a pretty good deal on it!! :cool2:

He had put around $15,000 into new equipment just over a year ago and then we have 2 of the dryest years ever and he figures this business is not for him.

Anyone else picking up a good deal lately from guys getting out?

Nope. I've barely worked in the last two weeks and although I don't have much extra money, yesterday I went and bought a brand new 21" Toro.
I'm only into my third season, but I don't see the drought as a reason to quit.

    Congrats on the good deal!
