What do you guy's/gal's use for putting the edge on drives and walks? So far I've been using my trimmer. Works ok but you really eat up the line. Thanks for your advice.

Stick edger's are the only way to go. You can trim your walkways curbing and anything else you need an edge for. I do have a 4 wheel edger that I only use if the property has never been edged before.

i use a stick edger every other week on the odd week i use my straight shaft stihl string trimmer with .130 line ... try to use just the tip on the string to cut this will save your string . most trimmers i see on racks the strings looks as if they were tryying to cut with the center of the string not the tip.

Use a wheeled edger for the heavy stuff and a stick edger for "touch up" after that. Or, rent a wheeled edger and buy a stick edger.

Stick edger is the only thing I've used in 2 1/2 years.

Always use the trimmer unless the edge is extreamily overgrown. When using trimmer on regular basis it tends to do a good job
