Edger Blades

    Which edger blades do you guys use and which are better?

    For walk behind edgers, .105 blades w/ 1/2" center hole 10" long, sharpened both sides

    The ones the guy gives me when i say i need some edger blades also.

    Lesco has a box of 50 for about $35.

    The cheap ones. By design, you're going to grind them down anyway, why spend any more than you have to.

    The dealer sells me a box of 50 for like 42 bucks...I use those :)

    Use the standard edger blades, no sharpening. Think about it, why waste the time of sharpening, you're going to grind the crap out of them anyway. I don't think they were designed to be sharpened, either.

    Scag48, if you're refering to turfdude's remark about them being 'sharpened' both sides, he may not realize that's just a stamped 'edge' not a real blade edge that you pay extra for. I agree with you "48, where's the sense in even wanting a sharp edge on an edger blade, NOT!
