edger height

    i have a edger a friend give me and i am still playing with it.how deep do you go with them?i used it on my short walk way and put it all the way down and it seemed to do better.its old but works good.it has a 2hp motor.i just dont know how deep i should go with it.

    I just take down the blade far enough to cut the grass, no need in digging dirt.

    payup I show a little dirt. My customers love the detail of seeing the separation of grass and concrete by a small line of dirt. They always compliment the manicure.
    I drop my blade an inch below the sidewalk, generally.
    Sometimes I'll run two blades for an extra wide swath.
    They last longer than twice that of a single blade too.
