    Your opinion.... curved edger or straight. Pros and cons on both please?

    It depends, if you are going to use it to edge beds bent shaft does a better job if you are only edging driveways & walkways straight shaft would be my choice. I have 93 home in 1 subdivision with many shrub beds all the arround homes & Islands I only use bent shaft.
  4. with the stihl version the straight shaft has a gear box at the end of the shaft which delivers more power to the blade, where as with the curved shaft deos not. I am not sure as to if this is the same with all brands or just with stihl.

    I think straights ahve more power, and run better on a driveway or walkway

    I use bent shafts they give you that offset when you are edging curb or beds
