I am about to buy a shindaiwa edger but it is missing the guide wheel. I used to own a walk behind but now i am getting a stick edger. My question is...is the edger worth buying even without the wheel? Does the missing wheel effect the edger any or is it harder? Any input would help. Thanks

It is going to be more work for you without the wheel. Why not just pick up a new wheel real quick from your dealer?

I don't even use the wheel on my edger, but then again, it is a curved shaft model.
