I've got a Wrigh Sentar with a 23 kawi on it that keeps draining my batteries. I put a new battery in in the morning and it wouldn't start after about 4 hours of use. My crew had to carry around a jump kit all day long to start it. Apparently, it runs fine but it just won't start. I'm going to clean it out and look at the wires but I really don't know much about electrical diagnosis. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

it's probably the voltage regulator. take a battery cable off the battery. turn your volt meter to dc volts and connect one lead to the battery and one lead to the battery cable. with the key off do you get a reading? if so then remove the plug to the regulator and see if you meter reads zero. we'll start there. you can also use a 12 volt test lamp instead if the meter. if light is on there is battery draw.

at full throttle what is the voltage at the battery?
