Has anyone used an Elite manure spreader to topdress compost or a topsoil / compost mix? The Elite spreader is a drop type spreader with an agitator bar and a shredder drum to chop up the material so it can pass thru the spreader.

Spreader has arrived. It is one heavy duty made machine. Haven't used it yet, will let you know how it works out for topdressing.

I'm not a pro, I'm just old and tired and let the machines do the hard work.

That thing actually looks pretty sweet. Even if you have a good processed compost, it looks like it would distribute the load very nicely.

The only, and I say only, disadvantage I can see from the design is the narrow wheels. In lawns it might rut a bit if the soil is wet, and that is only coming from a green industry perspective.

But, it could probably be switch over to a larger pneumatic wheel pretty easily.
