Do any of you give your employees partial ownership if they play a huge part in your success?
Stewardship, not ownership...
I was thinking of stocks or somthing too.
Reward him with money or a nicer truck or whatever. Do not give him ownership unless you want a partner. Did he invest to get you off the ground? What was his exposure if you went broke?
How about when the bank wants all of the owners to sign a note and he or his wife doesn't want to? How about when he quits, goes to work for some other company and still owns part of yours?
Just reward him some other way. Keep it simple.
