Encore Spindle Removal Help, can't get the pulley and holder off!

    Wow, the pulley holder will not come off the top of the pulley. I beat the spindle shaft down and tried to pry the holder off off the pulley and the spindle shaft with no luck. Next thing to try is a three jaw puller on the whole pulley.

    That spindle shaft has a keyway. Guess it's all just welded itself together. Anyone had any luck with these old encore spindles? Thanks

    There should be six holes in the pulley hub, You removed three screws from the hub. Thread the three screws into the other three holes, Tighten each screw about a quarter turn at a time working in a circle between the three.

    The screws will jack the pulley down off the hub, Then lightly drive a screwdriver in the slot in the hub. This will spread it open and it should slide off with your hand....
