My Metro 32" engine no longer stays running while in neutral, unless the top hand levers are held down. It seems as though the vibration rattles the blade engagement lever so the engine shuts off. Is there an adjustment I can make at home to correct this or do I need to take to my dealer.

    Hey Greg,

My guess is that you may have to adjust the PTO safety switch. This is pretty easy to do, and you can find all of the instructions in the ADJUSTMENTS section of your Operator's Manual.

Another thing you should do is tighten the bolt running through the engagement arm for the blades. You want to compress that spring on the arm. You can tighten the bolt up as much as you can, and then back it off a 1/4 turn. If you think that is too tight, you can back it off a 1/2 turn. Sometimes excessive slop here can cause problems like you are describing. If you have any questions, just create another post when you can.
