hey guys....i tried to use an engine hoist to remove some shrubs. First up was a several years old burning bush with a base structure at least 16" across. The hoist was almost new and rated to lift at least 2 tons. So what do you think happened? the burning bush won that battle...easilly. the hoist had no shot. I bent one of the legs up trying to hoist that shrub out. So i ended up using my truck to pull it out. My 5k truck had to work to pull that sucker out. The root ball was around 200 pounds when she came out. Wow...i couldnt believe it. I really thought the hoist would do the job. So now to the next question.......is using my truck my only option for pulling the difficult shrubs out? Do you guys have any secrets your willing to share?
