I just finished the engine swap tonight on my ferris walk behind. Brand new vanguard 20hp recoil. Got everything put back together and the pto is dead. Worked fine before the swap. Im pretty sure i can hear it spinning inside there, no loud click when i pull the switch. I checked all electrical connections, belt tension, check plug on the pto, finally took everything off the crankshaft and reinstalled. Still nothing. Im going to pull the pto off again, what do i need to look for? What readings should i be looking for on the pto plug from my meter? Any ideas what to look for on the pto mechanism itself? Any help would be appreciated....the grass is growing!!
