Do not know alot about the landscape business in the UK,but was stationed there for three years. I guess it would depend alot in where in the country you are relocating to. Be prepared for 4 dollar a gallon gas prices and taxes right thru the roof. Lots of rain and inclement weather. Make sure to stay far away from the locall brews while you are there as they are awful. (wink wink nod nod ) :p

When we were in England a few years ago, I was amazed at how plants I'm familiar with grew in different light and flowered at different times. Aucuba was thriving in full sun and pansies in the ground were healthy and blooming on Aug 23. That doesn't happen here in NC. We were mostly in cities where yards could be very small and often didn't have a lawn, just lots of containers and vines. The B+Bs we stayed at all seemed to hire gardeners, however. Where in England are you moving?
