Im looking to buy a new ztr.. My dealer has a 27hp kawi 61' procat for 8995. Another dealer has the same thing but a 25hp kawi motor for 8000.. Is 25hp enough hp for this unit? I cant see paying a grand more for 2 more hp.. they r both 09s thanks for the help

I have the 25hp kawi 61" bobcat and its great, more then enough power even with the belt drive catcher in the fall. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one. I love my bobcats there simple to work on, built extremely tough and cut great. The big hp 35+ mowers are nice but alot of times overkill.

I think it was around 9k but that was with the 3 bag collection system, tax and 3 years ago.

I always go for the one that has the higher horsepower. I've got a 22hp on my 52" and would like at least a 24hp just to have the extra hp for the longer grass and thicker leaves. The new 60" I will be getting this year will have a 33hp on it. I'd go with the bigger engine.
