Please read entire post I'm not asking what you think I'm asking. I own a pest control company and a lawn service. At this point I have the two businesses combined because it is a 6 month old business. I do have a total of 70 customers so far. I'm always curious what people think about businesses like we have. Do they view us as entrepreneurs or some dude with a couple mowers and a sprayer. I know how I would answer this question I'm just curious what you other members think. Thanks guys

We're in the service field, I'd be willing to bet people don't see us as entrepreneurs simply because they think an entrepreneur is someone who has a unique business model.

I can agree with that I just looked up the definition and as far as I can tell this is me I risked everything I had. "a person who organizes and operates a business or businesses, taking on greater than normal financial risks in order to do so."

You're cutting grass. Any village idiot can do it

    That's not an entrepreneur.

Not any village idiot can go door to door and SUCCESSFULLY obtain customers, and build a real business.

Yeah they can. They do every day.

A real business will run itself without you being present. So until you get to the level where you have management people, in my opinion you've just created a job for yourself. Not a business.
