I want to get a new Trimmer and Backpack Blower. I'm looking for light weight and still powerful. I have Echo Trimmers and Backpack's now after a long day I feel like I have been lifting weights!!

id recommend the stihl br400. i have one and its great. real powerful and not heavy. most of the companys around here use them. i have an echo trimmer, and ive had no problems with it.

Shindaiwa's EB630 blower is about the same weight as the stihl (less than the echo) and has more power than both of them. The T270 (or try the T260)Trimmer weighs less than the echo equivalent but produces a little less the the cc of the echo. The EB630will also will have more noise.

For what I've been using the kawa400 has plenty of power. It blows the dirt and grass clipping off of driveways fine. Granted it is is only 380 cfm. What does that shindaiwa weigh?

    EB630
    Dry weight *(lbs/kg) 19.7/9.0
    Displacement (in/cc) 3.8/62
    Power (hp/kw) 3.9/2.9 @ 7500 rpm
    Output (mph/cfm) 201/613
    Fuel tank capacity (oz/liters) 67.6/2.0
    Noise rating (dB(A)) 75

I'm sure the kawa has enough power, but to "get more bang for your buck" then I would pick the Shindaiwa.

Sounds like that Shindaiwa is pretty awesome. I bought my kawa for about $350.00 lesco had soom kind of deal where they took off $60.00 for a trade in. I must admit looking @ the spec's the Shindaiwa has more power. I've only been using this kawa for about 2 months and I'm impressed with it. I also like how quiet it is.
