I'm looking at investing in some GPS tracking units to put on our different pieces of equipment. What are you guys using, and what do I need to look for?

Our company uses HeavyTrack on all of our trucks, as well as our easily stolen rubber tired machines.

There are plenty storys on the HeavyTravk site about succesful recoveries.

I highly reccomend them but I will say that any of the systems are useless if found. I t would literally take seconds to disable a tracking unit if you found it.

Spend allot of time hiding your units and you won't have any problems.

We use a GPS tracking system. It is great for real time tracking, maintenance tracking, and luckily we have no experience in checking its vehicle recovery.

It allows you to monitor workers where abouts, time to arrive and complete a job, and can ensure no side work performed at neighboring homes etc.. So far seems like a good investment. Monthly monitor fee is about $35.
