I have to do an estimate for a guy that wants a planting bed removed from his front lawn and replaced with sod. The bed is about 275 square feet. There are a couple small u's and two large 10-12 foot lilac bush/trees. I don't think the lilacs can be done by hand so I was going to rent a skidsteer. I would then level the area and bring in some loam to add and also fix areas that the skidsteer drove over. I was thinking about $875 for everything.

Tree removal: $450 (unless you think I dont need a machine)
    Sod: $200
Spread loam (4 yrd max) $225

    What do you guys think?

    Sounds good.

I might try to push to be closer to 1000 in the estimate. Sometimes in these situation Murphy's law comes into play, and I would rather come in under my estimate than over.
