What would you guys pay for a well established irrigation business 400+ clients. No inventory to speak of, old ditch witch pipe puller in good condition.
    Chevy 96 1t with service body.

If you can get all 400 clients on a service contract or some other way of guaranteed work I would say anywhere from 20-30K. But an uneducated guess though. Did he say what he was looking for and what is the service pricing like for the area.

Are there are service contracts? Do these customers get winterized? At $50-$70 to shut down a system you can make the $20,000-$30,000 back in one fall. You know you're going to lose clients but sprinkler customers are very loyal especially if the former owner sends a letter out detailing your qualificaions. If you can get them for $50 a customer you should do well.
