This is why we have back-up mowers and lots of extra parts.

fist sized chunk of wood was picked up by mower and jammed in blower fan. it took out fan blade (lower right) and possibly bearing. havent got it completely apart, yet, to see why its not turning. took off belt and finished day mulching with it while we used the other one we had with to pick up. i had an extra fan assembly in stock and had it switched in an hour tonight.

im just glad the blade didnt break off completly and go flying through the hopper. next time i have to replace a blower fan assembly im goin with the case hardened version. this is actually the first time ive ever heard of a fan blade breaking on a walker. had to replace the bearings on one of the older ones couple years ago. this walker is one of the newest of the fleet with only 1100 hrs.

happy turkey day to all the lawnsite turkeys!!!!!! :waving:
