ever heard of robin power equipment?

    :realmad: well my local dealer carries this line and talked me into buying one,said will crank every time first or second pull,well long story short after 72 tries yesterday and 25 or so today i gave up.biggest pos i've ever owned,however i did buy a robin backpack blower and edger and thay work great.any thoughts,i knew i should have bought all stihl or echo equip.

    I've heard of Robin Subaru engines used on generators and such but I didn't know they made handheld power equipment.

    Dang, sorry to hear that. I use Robin trimmers and have had great luck and I really like them. There weakest link is the on /off switch, I would carry it back to the dealer, My dealer always cranks and makes sure it runs fine before they leave the store

    Subaru bought Wisconsin I believe. We had a Wisconsin Robin on a welder on our farm- Great engine!

    There used to be a couple of Robin dealers in my area but they dropped the line due to problems getting parts when needed.

    The trimmers seemed decent but lacked the power of the well known brands.

    Parts availability was their biggest problem by far!
