Our son is a computer techie / guru kind of guy. Built our computers, done debugging for people, and knows about websites. Been into computers since Commodore 64s and Amigas.

I'm in his new business right this instant, helping him arrange. It's a Coffee Java shop on Hy. 62 in Central Point Oregon.

I noticed his laptop and Wireless today as soon as I walked in, and he had a website he was working on for a guy.

His name is Greg, and he is reliable. I'd recommend him for website work and computer building.

Anyway, I asked him about doing sites for lawn services.

Lawn service or anyone else, he said that he starts at $125 and what that covers is walking people through...

    Contact

    Getting domain name registered.
    Setting up hosting account
Installing website (that they can edit themselves if they want)
    (Joomla software content management system)
    Includes walking-through getting a template.

If they want a template with no content management system, and want him to tweak it for them, that's at $45 per hour above 3hrs (the $125 part).

So at 3 hours, you can have a decent template that you can do management on, and your cost is the $125 plust the template and hosting on top of that -

Rough guess at $200 to $300 combined for his cost and the other stuff combined.

He can do other site design, but does suggest templates as a very practical way to go.

So in a nutshell, for about $125 to $200 more than you would have spent going solo, he can walk you through the whole thing, either via the phone, but he can get something on your computer to watch remotely.

You can contact via this site's contact >> http://www.rpgmatch.com

That's one gamer related site he set up.

Finally got home after helping Greg organize the coffee place. Here he is with my first Mocha from there.

For the few people here near Central Point, stop by for a coffee or "Phat Tea".

Anyone else in the USA - just hook-up with him via cell phone or computer.
