I need some help with the maintenance of my Exmark 48” walk behind.

This just started on the last property I mowed last week. When I push the lever down to engage the blades, the lever does not stay locked down. It pops up and the blades disengage. I’ve looked at the mower and can’t figure out how to adjust the lever.

I’m not a mechanic and I usually take all problems to my dealer. But, he’s 45 minutes away and I won’t be in his area for at least another week.

    Can anybody help?

Try tightening the bolt that holds the lever on the handle arm (it has a spring on it).
If that doesn't work you'll have to adjust the rod on the cutting deck (you'll see where it is if you remove the deck cover when you engage the lever).
