In a stroke of brilliance, Toro bought out the #1 most successful commercial lawn equipment manufacturer of Exmark.

While Exmark continued to improve their own products, they also completed turned around what was the Toro Proline. If you haven't seen it, you've gotta check out the new "Toro" proline walk-behind mowers. The kept the best of the Toro (T-Bar, SFS decks) and put in MAJOR Exmark engineering.

Again, we're the benificiary with top-notch equipment to use.

    - Floating Deck has vertical adjustment pins.

    - Decks are equiped with a quick attach bagging plate for a bagger.

    - Front deck carrier frame is Exmarks tube steel design.

As far as I can tell, everything else is the same! Except the addition of the choice of T-bar or pistol grips at same price. SFS deck is still a stamped deck with the welded bull nose.

I have a toro gear drive with a fixed deck it is
2yrs old. toro bought exmark back then and put the
t-bar steering on the ex-mark metro. Is the efs
deck originally a toro deck or ex-mark. I think
the tri-vantage deck I have is EXCELLENT but haven't
tried others. I buy toro because of the t-bar
steering. My next wb will have a floating deck so I
can get a striping roller. There is a picture of
toros new machine in the new TURF mag.

Roller as a striping kit, about time! It just kills me, my Bolens garden tractor is 20+ years old and it has a full deck roller, stripes are fantastic. Simplicity for the last few years has marketed a lawn tractor as making ballpark like stripes for your home lawn, thanks to a full deck roller.
