I just noticed that there is a greenish tube not connected to anything on my lazer hp. It looks like it runs from the back of the engine (near/under the air filter), along the left side (if you're looking from the rear), and then it just stops as if it were cut off. It is a thicker tube, green in color. (not electrical) Any ideas?

i also noticed some black stuff (i'm guessing oil) that seems to be coming out near the spark plug/wire. This green tube runs right by there. I'm wondering if they are related at all? I really have no idea here.

If your engine is a Kawasaki, I think it is a vent tube.

    thanks guys

what about the leak near the spark plug and wire? Does anyone know what could be causing this and how to fix it? I'm already behind due to all this rain, so I'd rather not have to take it in to the shop. Thanks again

From what i remember, when you drained the oil on an hp it would go all over. But i can be wrong. My friends new lawn tractor came with a hose to put on the oil drain plug so it would go into a can and not all over the engine plate. My gravely 's 15 Kohler had a hose clamped on it too you would pull it out and put it into what you used to collect the oil.
