I am looking at the above machine. The shop has a floor model, no hours and doesnt even have gas in it.... They want 8500? sounds like a good deal. Should I jump on it?

i can get a 27 kohler 60' aircooled for 7999 or the LC for 8,500... Is the extra 500 worth it? why?

is there any shortterm gain? will i benefit from anything beside the longevity of the engine?

is resale better on the LC....

Yes, buy the liquid cooled, but be shure there is a overheat safety shut down on it. The new ones have it, the old ones don't. I have a hard time watching gauges when mowing this fast, more worried about hitting objects.

I have heard a lot of Kawi bashing on a recent thread. Am I nuts for going with the Kawi LC? I have had both Kohler and Kawi in the past and never had a problem with either.

Are liquid cooled motors in a different class than the Air cooled? Should I not worry about the Kawi bashing?

There have been very few problems with the kaw. liq. cooled engines. The air cooled engines on the other hand have had lots of problems. The liquid cooled Kawasaki will last you about 7,000 hours if you take good care of it. Thats what i've heard from several people. A lot of the air cooled kawasaki's are lucky to get 1,000 hrs. before they blow. I'm not a Kawasaki fan but I would definately buy a liq. cooled kawasaki engine. The re sale will be higher on the liq. cooled engine so you will benefit from that as well.
