I just got done mowing and disengaged blades then applied the brake before shuting done engine and sparks seemed to appear, just as I applied brake it sounded like metal hitting metal.....this never happend before. The machine is now dead, turn the key and just goes ckick...click, does not turn over. Anybody have any suggestions on what hapenned.

I don't hink it has anything to do with your brake, unless the brake rod shorted out your positive cable. Make sure your clutch did'nt seize up. Take a 5/8 wrench on bolt sticking out crank, and see if it turns over. If not, remobe clutch and see if it turns over. Seen many a seixed clutch bearing throw sparks and not allow engine to turn over.

Definitely electrical-the clicking tells you that. Had the clutch been hesitating to engage prior to this ? I've had about a half dozen go bad and none have just quit without warning. Maybe one of your switches shorted...
