I have been using Troy-Bilt widecut mowers for years and it's time to upgrade. I got the new Exmark book in the mail, and looking at the Metro HP. The floating deck does not have any anti-scalp rollers on the front, only on the rear. Does this deck float well or am I missing something.

No you are not missing anything. I have this mower and the floating deck is more for ease of height adjustment than anything else. I asked an Exmark rep about this and appearently the mower is set up in such a way that the castor wheels and drive wheels are all that is needed to reduce scalping. If you look closely at the front castor wheels, one is out further than the other . I believe this helps. I have never had a problem with scalping , so they must be right.

Thanks for the information. Going to a Exmark dealer this week. I have been looking at other brand mowers and from alot of information on this site, Exmark cuts great. Plus alot of companies here have them too.
