Is there enough room for a carseat/people to go in easily in these? I have been looking for a crew cab but it seems like the extended cabs are much better deals right now (looking at 1-3 year old trucks). I need a truck for work and to take my daughter to day care in. I'll probably keep it awhile so there will probably eventually be 2 kids in the back at somepoint. If I put the seat back to drive will the backseat be useless? I'm 6'. Thanks.

Not much room at all, and the reason theyre so cheap is because know one wants them. They lose their value very quick. They hold people in them just not very comfortably. i think it would hold a car seat.

When my first son was born, I had a '97 chevy extended cab. A baby seat fitted just fine.

Now I have a '01 F-250 extended cab, and there is more room in that, than the chevy I had.

    Hopefully this answers your questions.

I have two kids that need car seats...They both fit fine in both my EXT cab 150 and 250.

The rear facing car seat for infants has to go in the middle though.

    I prefer ext cabs personally.

Difference in an Extd cab vs CC is ~9 inches in a full size truck.

There is room for car seats and small kids, not comfortable for adults. I purchased an extended cab in 1989 (scotsdale) and another in 1996 (silverado). This time (2008) i went with the regular cab. The chevys wer'e 2 feet longer in those days, if you elected to go extended cab.

I prefer extended or regular cab and it's more then 9 inches difference, almost 15 inches from the specs on the ford website.

Chevy 3500 dually Extd cab is 9.5" shorter than CC version. 249.2" lenght vs 258.7" lenght. That spec has remained unchanged since 2001 to atleast 2007. Standard cab is 24.5" shorter than Extd cab 3500 dually at 224.7" This also applies to the 3500 SRW and 2500 with the long box.

I have an '04 Silverado xtra-cab with the suicide doors. It has plenty of room. I have had car seats in it many times.
