    Here's a link to an interesting subject I just found.

    Basically they are reclaiming old logging roads in the northwest by spreading wood chips, inoculating them with fungi and wheat seed, and covering with straw mulch. Very interesting reading, and short with pictures (c;

    There's nothing you can take directly to your job but the problem and solution are very organic and may help you understand why some things happen.
