Please someone who has these racks help I just installed the 2 place rack on my open trailer and I cannot figure out how to lock them. I see to rotate the lever on top of the rack and that locks them so when you push the lever on the trimmers they are locked but all you have to do to get them out is rotate the lever on top and they are unlocked. I cannot figure out how to work the actual lock in the middle of the trimmers the one with the key so they are actually locked. Please help

If the lock is installed right when the handle is facing you just push the lock in. If that doesn't work then something isn't setup right.

Thanks I figured it out for some reason I thought turning the key would lock it but I gave it a whack with my hand with the top lever locked and it locked then you can just unlock with the key. Thanks

would you trust this I ordered these because they mount on top of the rails because I just got this new trailer with high sides and the others that go all the way to the floor would not clear the sides. My old racks on my old trailer went all the way to the floor and seemed more sturdy that these. What do you think.

You may want some extra bracing on that side.

I've had mine on for two years and have had no problem. Identical installation. They do make braces that support the engine end of the trimmer. I've seen a few users have their shafts crack from bouncing around. For the lock, try putting some graphite in the lock a few times. It seems to make them operate much more smoothly.

I plan on putting that exact same setup on my trailer.....I can see what you're saying - I think I might weld a bead around the base to help out a little. Thanks for the pics!

before I read your post I looked at the picture, and that really looked like a flimsy setup.

So yours are just like this with no problems. Im gonna try them like this they seem OK just not quite like the others I had that went all the way to the floor.

I have the three station set up and would never buy another type of rack. The main reason I bought this was because I had my edger and fs100 stolen while mowing the backyard of a client. When I leave my trailer unattended while in a back yard now, I don't worry about theft anymore. I installed the racks on the front of my trailer. I did purchase and install the motor support system.
Like someone mentioned I welded the racks on and this really seemed to stiffen up the racks. Just some advice, you need to grease or oil the inside of the racks. they come completely dry of lube.
The blower rack is good but, the trimmer trap st2 seems a bit quicker to get on and off.
