The truck in the link is not the exact truck just the closest I could find to the one I am looking at. The sides are about 4-4.5 ft. The truck I am looking at has the cab protector and barn doors. He seems pretty firm on 16k. Mainly would be used for mulching and plant and hardscape installations and brush hauling etc.

There is an 07 crew cab f550 with a real 12' landscape body, not the cheap stake bodies.. on ebay recently in eastern pa near philly region for $18,000.

an 02 would be considerably less cost, 7.3s can last a long time but suck if you do snow in the winter at least starting them unless you plug in all the time.

cost of GOOD landscape body is $10-12,000, cost of stake body $5000-6000 tops, thats one that dumps and is brand new, a used one is worthless to me, id never run one just because it looks horrible going down the road and for company look, they dont have much place in the landscape truck market, though brickmans only runs them, but looks terrible 100% of the time anyway.

16k isnt bad, 12-14k would be a better deal. If its an XLT, then yeah 16k isnt bad, its nearly impossible to find XLT dump trucks now used.

don't hold me to this, but if he's still talking to you and supposing he really does have an offer for 16k, and he knows you don't want to pay quite that much, why is he still trying to sell it to you? I don't know, just something to think about.
