    Need some advise.
I currently have 2000 F350 extended cab shortbed with single rear wheels. It has the PSD and is two wheel drive. Great truck, but i'm and looking for a truck with a dump bed or a flat that can be modified. I'm sick of digging mulch, soil, chippings, etc. out of the truck two - five times per week.

I found an 02 F 450 PSD two wheel drive with 8 ro 9 foot flat bed. 22,000 miles. $24,000

    Questions:
What are the differences when you go to a F450? Payload, mileage, etc.

Can a flat bed be converted to a dump bed?

    Is insurance more?

Can you plow with this truck? (SWMissouri) only a couple good snows per season.

    Thanks for your feedback.

    F450:
15,000 GVW, Bigger axles and brakes than 350
With 4:88 you will get less mileage
Most likely your flat could be converted depending on set up.
    Yes insurance is more.
You can plow, but you will need heavy load out back with traction tires.
