On a 2004 Chevy K2500, where will I find the connector for a trailer brake? The truck has the factory trailer package but the previous owner did not leave a brake controller in the truck. I've ordered a Tekonsha Prodigy and the GM adapter, but I'm unclear as to where the adapter will plug in.

it should be under the dash by the steering column, if i remember correctly on some GM's you have to put a couple relays in the dox under the hood too to activate the brake stuff

    Thats on Fords.

On the GMs you pull the cover thats under the dash, on the fire wall, on the left side (looks like a fuse box) and plug in the harness in the top 2nd from the left. Make sure you get the right plug. GM changed the harness in 03, they moved the brake peddle wire and head light wire around.
