Who is going to up their pricing this Fall with the increase in fuel? I know for sure I am...
Rod, our basic contract includes spring/fall as well as any general leaf clean-up. We increased 5% across the board when fuel exceeded the $2/gal. mark.
We're reconsidering our fall cleanups this year. We are planning to really raise our rates to cut down on the number of jobs we do. We also bought a 25 hp tow behind loader but not even sure if we are going to use it. Our 11 hp is mounted on the front of our pickup with the dumpbox on the back and a trailer behind it. It works pretty good except for wet snowy leaves. I'm just not quite sure how the tow behind unit is going to work out. If my truck was 4x4 I would have mounted a plow harness on it and put the big leaf loader on the harness. We're thinking that less jobs at a higher price would be better. We have customers that we have done for 5 or 6 years so the increases are going to be interesting.
