We're doing the flyers also, sent out about 1,000 mailouts for general business, next year we're going to work towards doing year round maintenance for our customers, in Jan/Feb we'll send out a list of services and they'll pick then what they want.

yea ive put together some letters for businesses in the past. we send them out twice a year. we've only got a little return out of it, but I figure it gets my name in front of them so when they are ready for a landscaper they will think of us for their bid list. How did your mailouts do?

I'm pretty much in cleanup mode already. Tropical storm Irene made a mess here so it was like a spring cleanup on every property. But now leaves are dropping like crazy. The leaves on the south side of trees are dead and falling to the point where the turf is totally covered. Usually this time of year it's just some nuisance leaves from the earlier dropping trees such as fruit and nut trees.

I stay pretty busy with my regulars on cleanups...not really much time for more than a few one timers. I will likely run a combination fall cleanup/snow plowing add in the local paper in mid October though.

Repsonses from the paper ads are spotty. It's weird, I may not get any calls at all for a week or 2 and then I'll get 3 calls in a half hour. The main thing I've learned is because the paper is distributed to a much larger area than I service, I specifically list the 3 or 4 towns that I service in my adds. Otherwise I get calls from all over the place.

My best source of new work has been referrals and from people new to the area finding my business listing on the internet. When people buy a new home they often have a long list of service providers to line up, so all you have to do is be respsonsive and you get the work....they don't have time to price shop among a half dozen landscapers the way some people do.

I urge you to checkout both our Door Hanger Band-It Stick-It product www.AdeasPrinting.com/door-hangers and our Stick-It Postcards. Our Postcard pricing including postage, addressing & full color printing is a hard one to beat in the industry & to top it all off includes our Stick-It enhancement. www.AdeasPrinting.com/post-cards.

Recently we introduced our Seasonal Service Calendar that you can distribute with your standard Door Hanger all at once using Band-It. Why give your customer one ad when you can give them two. The Calendar goes up on the fridge letting them have a constant reminder of the upcoming months and what services they need to call you go get scheduled. http://www.adeasprinting.com/doorhangers-seasonalservicecalendar.

Please call me for more information or just request samples to be mailed to you if that's easier for you - www.AdeasPrinting.com/free-samples.

    Thank you!
