This 10hp Billy goat throws them 20ft.....almost impossible to control, that's where a leaf plow would be nice to help move the bulk to the truck I guess. Thanks guys, I appreciate any positive input.

so get it close then use a backpack blower to control the leaves into a row.

There should be a lever on that billy goat called a throttle! Lol! Just messin with you. When I get leaves to area I want them, I back the throttle down to get the pile tighter. If these rows you speak of are nice clean rows, I'm sure there was raking involved.

Ok jovingo....I didn't have time to stop and watch these guys, but when I drove by at 8am they already had half the place done with nice clean rows all ready to be sucked up, didn't know if these guys were doing something special or what. All I seen was 2 little wonders and they weren't working together.

I will find my tricks to it I guess, went from backpacks, rakes, and tarps to this setup. Before I would just take a yard and do piles, never had the ability to move mass leaves or a way to suck them up.

Do you sees these guys all the time? Stop & talk to them. Compliment their work & ask "How do you get them rows so nice & clean?" When I worked for LCO when I was younger we used to do rows at the road but the road side of the row was a mess. Had to rake them tight but backpack would be better.

I don't have leaf loader yet so I don't have a method yet. Maybe next season! Will be watching this for pointers on making rows. I just round them up in center of lawn, go in a circle grinding them with discharge pointing out from pile, then throw my mower basket on & change direction sucking them up, then stripe the lawn after. If there is a ton of leaves I grind then round them back up with blower then tarp to the truck.
