We've got parts of a soccer field (NO WATER AVAIL) we've leveled and will be ready to seed in the near future. Does it make any sense to look at a long term forecast and make a bet on the best time to seed, or just go ahead and do it the first weekend in September - knowing that it may sit there for a couple of weeks without rain. We're in Cincinnati. We'll do the starter fertilizer, seed and then lightly mulch with wheat straw.

    TIA

What variety of grass are you planning on seeding with?

Sorry it took so long to get back.
We're planning on a tall fescue mix or maybe an 80/20 fescue/bluegrass mix.

    TIA
