When you're just starting out in the fall, what's the best way of attracting customers to what will likely be one-time-only services (gutter cleaning, Christmas decoration installation, etc.)? I'd like to avoid the mass-mailing and door hanger route because this seems a little expensive for single-time customers.

    A little help, huh? :help:

Flyers will be your best bet right now. Network with you family and friends as much as possable and see what you can pick up.
Bad time of the year to start a new LCO busi. Maybe get a part time job at a dept store as Christmas help and use all you spare time and money advertizing for next year. Most people will still be thinking green for a few weeks as the season just ended and if they were not happy with the old LCO than they may make a switch. Push a little now but make a big push in late winter so you can start the year with a good account list.
