Fastrak pre-sale question - how much should I expect dealer to move on price?

    I have a dealer/svc center that's about 10 miles away from me and a dealer/svc center that's 20 miles away from me. I hate the idea of paying sticker price for any big purchase. I'm trying to figure out a price that I can bring to the 10-miles-away dealer to make it worth his time to say "Yes" so that I can give him the business without having to go get a quote from the 20-mile-away dealer. The MSRP is $5499 - I'm thinking $5200 as the right price to take to the first dealer with the expectation that I could go upwards to $5300 and still be happy.

    Any suggestions?

    Walk in with $5000 cash and offer that. If he balks you can use a credit card and take it up a little.
