I purchased a FasTrak in April of 2003. The right wheel motor failed last summer after only 67 hours and 4 months out of warranty. My dealer charged me $850 for the repair. I wrote an angry letter to the president of Hustler and he agreed to pay for the parts if I paid for the labor. Of course I agreed but it still cost $150 for the repair. I now have 75 hours on the mower and the left wheel motor is starting to act the same way the right motor did before it failed. Why are such major components failing after such a short time. Has the management at Hustler discussed doing a recall or extending the warranty on these early FasTraks? My yard is just over 1 acre and flat but with a lot of trees. Surely this isn't too much for the mower to handle.
