I cut 5-7 acres and I am close to deciding on a Z. A local dealer tells me that the hustler fastrak is classified as a commercial mower, but others have posted that this is a homeowners unit. Is there a rule of thumb that indicates when (how much cutting) would dictate that a commercial unit be recommended. Also, how does the $5400 dealer quote compare throughout the industry? Is the fastrak the machine for me? Thank you for comments.

The FasTrak is designed for "estate" mowing. 1 to 5 acres, once a week is the general workload it was designed to handle. Can it do more? Sure. Depending on the type of mowing, the FasTrak will probably be a fine choice. At 5 to 7 acres though, it might be wise to move up to the 60" cut of the Hustler Z. It will cost a bit more, but save a lot of time mowing (and we all know, time IS money).
