Wow, The month of May has really flown by. Busy busy busy. Still get lots of rain and not yet on a regular schedule. Have dropped and added several customers so far this year. Just printed a new cut list. 66 customers at this time. .......and I was going to cut back this year.

really nice. My son and I have a tree service company and although it can get tense at times, we are together every day working towards the same goals and I'll die a happy man some day i think. have a grandson (we call him stump) who i can tell someday will show us both something someday. Best wishes and you are a fortunate man to have your children so close.

The grass here in Indiana is still growing like mad. Raining today supposed to clear up this afternoon. For the last two years we have had les than 1/10th of an inch of rain in June. June was the beginning of severe drought conditions in 2011 and 2012. Fingers crossed we won't see draught again this year.

I just found this thread and skimmed through, very awesome. You inspired me, I'm going to start taking my 11y/o daughter out with me. In addition to bonding and trying to show her work ethic, she can give me a hand and make a few bucks. Thanks!

On Tuesday both Jenna and my son Andy (8 years old) were able to work with me. Had a great day. Andy mowed three yards (with homeowner approval). He still doesn't get the follow your line concept but he will. I of course had to go over Andy's cuts to smooth them out and straighten them up. It was a rewarding day.

My girls are 2 and 4.... I'm a stay at home dad, however I do work weekends in the summertime with my concession business. I thought about in a few years starting to offer a basic lawn care service. Maybe 15-20 accounts but I have a feeling with those numbers ill be just breaking even at best. As we know you have to do better than break even otherwise what's the point. I have a friend and his father is a lco retired with about 30 accounts. With gas prices he won't unload for less than $32.00. What's eveyone else minimum charge?

Off to a horrible start this week. Broke the drive belt on one of the scags yesterday and had to drive 10 miles back to the shop to get the spare. Today hydro pulley came off of the same unit. Not getting much done.

Much improvement this week. Getting a little needed rain right now.
