Anyone else tinkered with the Favicon makers > tiny image icon that goes in the address bar. Small detail that can be a bookmark shortcut for favorites.

Anyhow, there are a ton of generators. Many of the generators also tell what the little snip of code is that gets placed in the website. Although, I think mine is working even without a code snip.

I just switched mine from an "M" to a tiny tree shape.

This is the one I just used...

Others, you can take a photo and shrink. But the photo needs to be of something big enough to discern once its reduced.

Do you know of any way to change that little Internet explorer icon next to the web address? I thought that by adding the favicon it changed that. My image only shows up when you add to the favorites.

Does my favicon show up for you (if you didn't add me to your favorites, which is not likely)?

Did you put the fragment of code in your page that was provided on the page that you linked to, or the one I linked too?

Did you save it as favicon.ico

Favicon is a nice touch, plus an additional way to knock them over the head with your brand imaging.

Personally, i think company logo's work best. Small pictures are cute but what does that picture convey to the customer?
