Dont laugh......I am trying to change to the blade on a fc 55. A neighbor moved and gave it to me so I dont have the owners manual. Do I just block the blade when I turn the nut? I'm not sure and was scared, so I didn't force it. Any help will be truely appreciated.

    Thanks

if its an edger (which i guess by the model it could be a s tihl edger), there should be a rod to block it off (if its like a echo) and then turn it clock wise to loosen it.

yes it is a stihl edger, there is a little hole behind the blade that I can stick a rod in to stop it from turning. Is that what I should be doing. Thanks for the hellp.

Yup, line up the 2 holes, and you should have gotten a rod to stick in there as well.
